Default '93 Civic DX - Reverse Lights Constantly On

I have replaced my reverse light switch. Are there some grounds that are common problems in these cars? What else could I check?

Unplug the reverse light switch and see if the lights go off. IF they do, it's either the switch (yes, still....) or a piece broken off in the trans or misalignment somehow. If it stays on, it's a short somewhere between the switch and lights.

I will assume that this is a stick shift, I have seen some folks get the reverse switch and the N switch mixed up and changed the wrong one, sorry for asking, did you get the correct one. It only takes an ohm meter to test the switch with it unplugged, test it in R and in any other gear or N.
