I agree with that, but to me the front just looks a size or two too large.

I don't think so. I think proportionately it looks right on. IMO you're just used to saeeing the more rounded/bulbuous front of the 96-oo Civic and the JDM DC front is more wedge shaped and lower than the Civic front maybe making it seem longer. I think the main culprit is the shorter headlights that reveal more of the fender as it wraps around to the side of the fender as opposed to the stock fender/headlight proportions. But still I think it looks "right" to me.

I do know what you're saying and you're right that people are used to seeing the slightly higher looking front end of Civic's but if you look at this pic

the section from the base of the A-pillar forwards just looks a bit big to me. It's not far off, that much is true and it looks better than i first thought it would, but i still dont think it sits quite right.

I'm putting this pic up just for comparison's sake:

Personally I just don't see it as far as the A-Pillar goes. The fender proportions from the cener of the wheel arch back look spot on. Once again, to me it's more of the sqintier lights and wedge shaped nose that could give it that illusion. See how the DC fender extends past and over the lights? I think that's what does it.

BTW: I'm not trying to be argumentative with you, just discussing.

Hahaha, i know better than to start a flame war with you, i read GDD a lot but don't particularly post overly much.

You're correct about the wheel arch, it looks spot on size and circularity wise. But to my eyes, if you take the centre point of the top of the front arch and cast your gaze upwards, it seems to be a larger distance to the hood. Whereas the line on your car goes down quite sharply from the pillar to front of the hood, the one on the DC/EM seems to slope more gently. Unless it's just my eyes... And the car looks a bit longer aft of the leading adge of the front arch than a normal Civic.

To be fair, it is perhaps also somewhat of an illusion due to the lights. But it's just my opinion that it doesn't look quite right, although it is close. I'm not claiming it to be fact... that's how it looks to me, it's cool that you like it! It does look better than almost every other front end swap i've seen.

Good points, I realize not everyone will like it. Personally I like it. Would I ever do it? More than likely not but this front end swap looks @ home on a 6th gen coupe IMO. The protruding front bumper of the JDM front accounts for some of the length but it looks that way even on an Integra so that's a wash.

In the end to each their own. I personally respect the ultra clean conversion on that whit car though. Appears to be a first class job.

Well I posted the pic more for comparison of the A-pillar/front fender proportions.

That's cool, it's good that this was a discussion and not an arguement!
