Dynos and tuning with them
OK, anyone gotten a hardcore dyno tune done by someone else? How much (rough estimate is good) should it cost to get a car with I/H/E, Toda spec B's, and hondata tuned well?
Or does anyone know how much a JRSC w/ hondata would be to get tuned well?
If you know anything about either...input would be really appreciated. I'm trying to cost compare here. Thanks

what do you need to know about tuning a Hondata with a JRSC. Me personally I don't run a Hondata on my car, but I have tuned my car with one for fun on the dyno. I've done around 108+ dyno runs on my JRSC car. To tune a Hondata good with someone who knows their stuff, it would be done in around 5run pending the condition of the car when it comes in. With a JRSC you want to give some time between each run because heat soak will start to happen with the charger which will throw the tuning off some.
Basically if the baseline dyno run looks good or in the correct area before the JRSC, then it normally takes like 3-6runs to tune it pending the mods and how long you want to wait to let the car cool down.

I would say $500 for a dyno tune, AND a street tune for partial throttle to the maximum.
This would be the best tuning you could possibly do, street narrow and dyno full.
That would take 4 hours or so.
$300 for just dyno, 3 hours.
