Was looking through Lens website the other day at ITR parts and thought about this...
Has anyone ever thought about purchasing all new body parts (1/4 panels, roof, floor, bulkhead, etc) and building a brand new chassis? Would cost more than buying a shell, but it'd be cool as crap on cheese if you could actually do it.
Discuss.

Yeah it'd cost a lot, but if you can weld well, that would save you some. And you would have a chassis that has zero wear on it. Would be good for a race car if you don't have a hassle due to the date of manufacture since there wouldn't really be one. Don't think it would be a problem to register one. Just register it like a kit car?

But if you bought all the parts new from Acura, plus shipping (cuz I know Len doesn't have everything in stock), might as well buy an ITR.

now when our cars are classics and were paying 100k for an itr 40 years down the road then buying all new 1/4 panels etc might be the only option becaus there will be alot less shells/fixer upper itr's
