1997 Integra VSS - Best ways to remove it/find it?
Ok Guys-
I've got a 1997 Integra that the VSS has died in..
I finally got a new VSS and I am trying to find out where the VSS is..
I know it will be on the transmission but where and what is the best way to remove it?
I read in a few honda threads, they can remove the manifold and voila, there is it...
Just curious..
Thanks guys
Jeff

Ignore everything else, that is the general location of the vss you should see it sticking out of the tranny right around where its pointing.
Remove the intake tube and you will see it under where the tube runs across on top of the tranny. There is a connector on top and a 10mm bolt that holds the top electrical portion on and another 1 or 2(don't remember exactly) 10mm bolts that once removed you can pull the actual mechanical part with the gear on it out(if needed, usually its the electrical part that goes bad). It's very easy to pull off once the intake tube is out, just a long extension and 10mm socket.
You guys are exactly right.. I just swapped it, literally in the time it took from me to post this until now..
12mm bolt and 2 - 10mm bolts..
