I have a few Q's about it....
I currently have gc coils on my car with agx's. I want to go with koni' yellow's. Isnt there a special sleeve that ground control makes for the koni shocks?
Is there any kind of deal on the top hat? it used to be 75$ a pair, now its 119 per pair.
Where's the best place to buy koni's?

well all you have to do is switch out the tubes for baby tubes and baby gold nuts. and i mean $119 is a steal for these top hats. And now we have a new color of top hats that is the mugen orange color. i would get them straight from ground control. we have them in stock all day long.

What in the world? I think he was asking about whether he can use his current sleeves or should he use the Koni-specific threaded sleeves.
Don't mean to sound rude, but the type and content of your posts I've seen makes me wonder what your position is at GC, and how long you've been there.

Yes, GC makes a Koni-specific sleeve that perfectly matches the outside diameter of the Koni shock body, with a machined lip on the bottom that sits directly on the Koni snap ring. You do not use the OE-style spring perches at all, which IMHO makes for a much cleaner and stronger installation.
That would be the best solution. However, if you're wanting to know about using your current sleeves with Koni shocks, that would require the adapter rings. They used to sell them before the Koni-specific sleeves came out, but I'm not sure if they still have them. Best bet would be to just call up Ground Control directly. They were quite helpful when I ordered my setup.

yes we do have a koni conversion kit to convert your agx sleeves to koni. and the kit is $108 for the red threaded tubes and gold nuts. its no longer $76 thats what it was about 2-3 years ago. im the honda and bmw guy here at gc. yes PatrickGSR94 is correct we do have the koni ring, but the sleeve that normally come with the agx setup dosent have a place for the koni ring. so it will be cheaper to buy the koni conversion kit. and like he said its a way cleaner set up. and yes that is rude when you talk a gc employee down. but o'well. and sorry if i dont type as educated as every onelse. not everyone is an english major. i actualy studdy cars and the automotive field. im currently an auto tech student. and i have my ase in suspension and steering, brakes, and manual tranny rebuild. so sorry if my english is bad.
Me, I would like to know how to read the coil...
What does the number mean!
Like...
GC200.64.44
Also, what is the difference between the Road/race kit and the regular limited edition?
On both, they ask for desired spring rate...
Thanks in advance

Eibach Race Springs are sometimes marked in Imperial units, and sometimes in Metric units.
GC200.64.44 is going to be metric units. 200mm spring free length, 64mm spring inside diameter, and 4.4 kg/mm spring rate.
That same spring could be marked as 800.250.0250, which would be an 8.00" spring, 2.50" diameter, and 250 lb/in spring rate.

LOL...no offense...I'm an avid supporter of Ground Control products.
I'm far from an English major myself...but...I learned proper grammar, punctuation, spelling and how to write in grades K-12.
There is also a handy little spell check icon above the Reply box of every post you make.

well pat is correct on those numbers for the spring. the road race kit comes with custom spring rates and the limited edition kit comes with standard spring rates.

So if you order a Ground Control kit and specify your own spring rates, does that mean it's a road race kit?
When I ordered mine, I just called up GC and asked for the Koni-specific sleeves and then 380 lb 8" springs for the front and 450 lb. 7" springs for the back.

No, if you specify your spring rates, that does not mean it is a race kit. That means you know what spring rates you want, and we will swap them out of the OTS spring rates..
A road race kit means that the car is strictly for race. If you know the spring rates that you want for your race kit, then we will give you the rates you want. If you do not know we will choose custom rates we feel will best suit your intended use.

So then, what is the difference between a Road Race kit or any other kit? Don't they still use the same threaded sleeves, locking perches, allen keys, etc.?
Don't kits for Koni shocks all use the same Koni-specific threaded sleeves?
