engine swap wiring question
i have 2 hatches (both cars run). Car A has stock DPFI motor and CAR B has OBD1 b-series. I was thinking about putting the motor from CAR B into CAR A. My question is if i swap everything over including engine wiring harness it should plug and play

Nope it won't be plug-n-play unless both cars were DPFI to begin with. MPFI and DPFI engine harnesses do not interchange hence the reason the mpfi conversion is necessary on dpfi cars, other wise you could just swap over the mpfi stuff and be done with it.
All the mechanical parts will bolt right up but the mpfi conversion wiring still needs to be done, it's the fastest and simplest way to get your dpfi car to accept the OBD 1 bseries. I just got done doing my OBD 1 B16 swap mpfi conversion on my '89 DX and I'm almost done with my OBD 1 D16z6 swap on my other '91 Si so I can help you if needed
my build thread link in my sig has tons of pics of all my progress.

Must use original harness with multipoint conversion. That simple

You did not read correctly
Car B's engine harness will NOT swap over, you will have to leave that harness w/ the car and what ever motor you do run. to make the OBD 1 swap from car B work you need to convert the original cars dpfi engine harness to mpfi because why again?........ that's right because the engine harness's do not plug n play w/ each other
so now do you have it?

yea doing a mpfi is pretty simple they actually have a thread or this on honda-tech that makes simple and even a novice builder can do them selves besides ordering one pre-made from a web-site such as hasport
