Default Question on HX CVT rpm's

My sister just bought a 2000 Civic HX CVT. When cruising at 60mph the rpm's stay around 4000. This seems high to me, what is the average it should be be at? If this is high, then does anyone have a suggestion on what to look for or fix? Any help is appreciated.

Default Re: Question on HX CVT rpm's (kanundra)

hey i just bought a 97 civic hx. At 60mph I am close to 2500rpms if not a little lower like 2400rpms. I have had mine for a few days now and love it so far. The guy I bought it from stressed a lot that i change the fluid religiously like every other oil change. I am going to take his advice. You might want to to. And make sure you use cvt honda fluid
