What is everyone's pick for best mods for the money for the V6. So far i've got a K&N cold air and a neuspeed short shifter and there both worth the money. What does everyone else think?

 

it depends on what kinda of performance you are looking for... Fro example if you were into auto X then i would say tires are the best, everyday driving i would say injen or fujita CAI, looks- tein coilovers

 

Best mods for your money? Go to a driver school. Learn how to drive your car first. That will net you better gains than i/h/e any day.

After that is done you can look into suspension. Spring, coilovers etc. That will greatly affect your ride more than those simple boltons.

After THAT, you can get some lightweight wheels wrapped with some good rubber. Nothing affects your ride and control more than those for little contact patches that attach you to the road.

In the end its not worth putting to much money into your ride because its an econobox. But its up to you.

Hmm. I'll make a nomination for "best mod" if you have a Coupe.



The HFP Suspension is available (only for the Coupe) and it is frequently discounted down to about $600 or even less. It makes a nice handling difference on the coupe, lowers the car visually, it's a genuine Showa Honda setup, and it's a lot cheaper than other suspensions.

 

the car is a 6 speed coupe and I already have the HFP suspension, its pretty good for how cheap it is, and being a factory piece.

and kr310 why would u get wider tires? you just killed your suspension geometry as well as alignment settings. You will never be able to figure out proper settings. Also that eliminates any suspension work you have done b/c its not set-up for those wider wheels

I agree with this part. If you have suspension work done this is all you need.

 

Does the 03 v6 sedan have lsd, or is it available aftermarket? Also, is it possible to make a lot more power on that motor without going turbo?

No G7 Accord was sold in the USDM with a Honda Torsen axle stock.

You have a couple of options.

You can buy a unit from Quaife that has a very good reputation and will undoubtedly prove long live'd and handle whatever it is you think you're going to do with your J motor.

Or you can visit your friendly Honda parts discounter and buy the OEM unit from the current generation TL-S six speed, which comes stock with the Torsen axle that will fit your USDM G7 Accord six speed.

You're dealing with the big toys now, however, and you are going to pay a lot more for either option than you'd have ever dreamed of paying for a B motor or K motor OEM Torsen axle!!

You mentioned an '03 <u>Sedan</u>, so you probably want to worry about what you're going to do about the transmission before you go too far with all this.

 

Interesting. Is it possible to supercharge the 4cyl? I know it's been done on the TSX

 

After I got my AEM CAI and Apexi cat-back I got a custom J-pipe. The next step will be a UR underdrive pulley and then a Apexi Neo. Happy modding
