Default 94-01 type r spoiler on RSX-S?

im planning on installing a spoiler. the oem rsx spoiler is kinda ugly, the new type r spoiler is too high. i was looking at 94-01 intergra type r spoiler and i really like it, my question is will the 94-01 type r spoiler fit on my rsx-s? i know it wont fit perfectly, but dont you just drill the hole and screw the spoiler on. i really apperciate for any help, thanx in advance.

A little clarification, they didn't sell Type R in 94 to 96. It started in 97.
As for fitting the rear wing on the new DC-5 body ??? Isn't the rear hatch narrower on the RSX then on the ITR. You need to make sure it fits properly on the hatch or else you will have serious trouble at high speed. Make sure you do your homework before you purchase a wing for nothing.

Wrong again. The Type r started in 1996.

go with the DC5R spoiler... There is a reason that it is higher than the DC2... HOnda has wind tunnels and Im sure they probably used the DC2R as a starting point and raised and lowered from there...

Or just get the new Mugen spoiler. That is functional as well and so wierd looking that Id have to pimp it if I had the DC5

Funny I never heard of a USDM 96 ITR. Unless you are talking about the first JDM model in which case it is not very relevent. Or maybe they built them in 96 so they could sell them in 97 ?? (irrelevent again)
And what do you mean by "wrong again" ??? are you kepping track of my good vs bad answers ?

ok peoples , thats not a Type R Spoiler, thats an OEM Mid-wing Spoiler, it didnt only come on the ITR , some Ls's and Gs's came with it ....so 97-2001 woudl be the same exact spoiler, except the ls, gs wings came with a LED dumy light

do I really have to answer this Anyway here it goes, YOU have a RSX right? ok then get a DC5 (RSX) wing not one from a DC2(Integra). So by YOU asking for a "TypeR wing" does classify this as a rice thing. If you allready knew that a wing would be benifical to your car for handleing reasons Why on this green planet would you ask for a wing that does not fit on your model car? If you want a wing for your car GET ONE from a RSX TypeR in Japan, And don't ask for a Type R wing in a INTEGRA TYPE R FORUM cause We in here are DC2R owners not DC5R owners SO the logical thing to do would be to go here: https://honda-tech.com/zeroforum?id=32 for your saught after answers.

And anything that is added to a well performing car can be concidered rice, Its a very thing line RICE/NICE.

Well I gave it a shot And I'm not great at public speaches but I tried.

This belongs in the RSX forum. We don't drive DC5s, hence we wouldn't know which wings fit on them.

Prepare to get flamed nube... this isn't only a USDM board. You'll hear relavancies to JDM, USDM, and EDM ALL the time... don't think with tunnel vision... Unless you think Acura only has special cars that Honda doesn't get...

c'mon guys, instead of making fun of his idea, calling it rice, why don't you just help him and tell him how to do it, If I knew how to bro, I'd tell ya..it's his car, let him do what he wants.. I personally think it would look original and if he goes through with it, I'd like to see pics..good luck dude..

if this itr spoiler fit on this hatchback, it probaly be easier for me to fit in on my rsx. my bad, for putting this topic in the itr room, i thought u guys might know more about the type r spoiler than rsx owners. i know about the dc5 spoiler, but its too high for my taste, the itr is already high for me.

also about the rice comment. lets say someone with an usdm itr make it to a jdm front end conversion will that be rice? will you guys start laughing like when you see the McDonald hatchback?

funny how i've never seen an ITR spoiler come from the factory on a non-R integra. why? BECAUSE THEY AREN'T THE SAME!!!

all non-R teg spoilers are the tiny ones 2" high with the LED.

my 2 cents... you will never go fast enough to take advantage of a wing...but it will add the highly sought after mental horsepower...and no 96 R ....
