pcv valve "relocation"
any ill effects of relocating the pcv valve from its original home between the #3 and 4 runners on the im to directly on top of the black breather box on the block. It makes the routing for my catch can lines much easier and it looks alot better. Pic for reference.
yes on a sealed system like i have you do need a pcv valve.
I know that deleting a three inch section of hose isnt going to blow my motor up but i just wondered if having the pcv valve directly on top of the box would maybe cause it to clog up faster of something like that, basically wondering if there were any potential hazards to having it on the box and not on the hose.

i dont see how this would matter unless like you said it would get clogged up much quicker due to closer location.. but i do'nt see how it would be an issue. maybe extend the hose the same lenght just in different location like behind IM? if thats even possible..
if its routed like factory, why do you need catch can to begin with? it only catches half the stuff and whats left in there eventually makes its way through anyway. it doesn't do much or drains performance, your car will still be just as fast and last just as long.
