i have a virgin p30 ecu(i think) on my gsr and ive noticed vtec engagement is at 5400-5600rpm, is that right?

well, on the stock gsr ecu used with a gsr motor w/ the stock intake manifold...vtec x over is at 4400 rpm and the iabs open at around 5700 rpm. If you take a p30 ecu and run it on a stock gsr, I believe the IABS stay open and vtec is around 5700 rpm.

are you sure about this?
has anyone heard of holding the iab diaphram valve ( its located outside the stock gsr manifold on the right side) open with a zip tie????? if so can you list any pros and cons of doing this, thanks.

If you leave it open, you lose mid-range power and torque.....reasoning why honda designed that type of intake manifold for the gsr.

Maybe that will help you understand it better so you stop posting about iab's and bumping the post up every half hour. Seriously do a google search, do your own research it really isnt that hard.

Thats exactly what it is. I assume your not a retard, and most people with a tad bit of intelligence would know to search first. Do you think your the only one that has questions about IAB's?
