Default EBAY OBX LSD?

Wondering and very curious to see if anyone had any experience with this product? Its dirt cheap so I am very interested but not sure how well it works or its basically garbage and worthless? Please let me know thanks!

Many people have use them with success. I, myself, is one of them. Just make sure you have somebody that knows what he/she is doing to install it. Otherwise it can turn into nightmare pretty quickly.

X2

The OBX lsd is a cheap Chinese made knock-off of the Quaife lsd. The Quaife is significantly more money but has a very clean track record on quality. The OBXs have been known to need reassembly and machining from time to time. My installer has successfully installed both with no issues but he charges more for OBX installs. Once I factored that in and since the net cost difference was such a low % of the overall cost of my build I went for the Quaife. Plus I'm not a big fan of stealing the engineering efforts of another company. The Quaife install on my 97 Civic EX tranny was a straight drop in, no reassembly, machining, or even shimming was necessary.

I'm going to help my friend install one on his 300-350hp build here before Christmas. Just make sure it's going into an Ex or Si tranny...

You have to disassemble it and reverse the shims inside of it before installing it. I only know one person who has one (turbo teg, 300 something hp) and he has had no issues since he rebuilt his using the reversed shim technique. I am personally on the fence when it comes to these diffs.

obx is a decent brand that brings broke people (like me) the opportunity to buy parts that are almost as good as the big brands. i bought a header from them and it fit good and i didnt have much problem with it. so they are a decent brand...but i have never experienced an obx lsd tho.
