the other day i was driving and my car started to idle weird, it idles up and down as if there is a little vaccumm leak. but there is none. i took my car to a local shop and they did a diagnostic test to check everything out, and the compression was 160 all across and the timing is fine. so they said it was either bad plugs or my map sensor is bad, but i have no check engine light so i dont know about that. and my ecu is chipped with crome and has been for a few months, its a p06. and i have a d16y7 turboed. the car never back fired before but now it does. i changed out the plugs because i had NGK iridium plugs and the shop said those are bad for cars that arent "race cars" or something. so i just put in regular NGK v-power somethings. anyone know what could cause all this?? thanks everyone.

 

I put a Blox TB on and purchased a new TPS sensor, and about 3 weeks later I had a prblem with the backfireing, and it would tug backwards. I found out that it was my TPS sensor. I had to cut the factory 1 off the stock TB and replaced that senors & since then everythings been fine. So just check ur TPS sensor???

 

thanks yea im going to have to check the tps, i was just thinking it was that today but i wasnt sure.
