i was wondering what this part is...my car doesnt have it...IDK how it came out...also do i need it and what is its purpose

 

4 way flasher..you need if you have inspection (in nj atleast)

^ I guess you have a 90-91 then,cause 88-89 have it on the steering column cover like in the picture

yeah you dont need it, i learned about this like two days ago when i saw the gauge cover for the 90-91 as i was searching for how to change gauges.

As long as you have the one mounted to the right of the wheel then no.

 

If you need to ask, you shouldnt be driving.

 

wow i didnt kno with the diff in years that the early ones came with it on the steering column. mines a 91 and its mouted by the gauge cluster. well i guess both of my crxs were 91s so ive had no expereince with it in that spot.

you have a good point if its there in front of him to take that pic, how the hell doesnt he know what those red triangles mean??

 

because occasionally, maybe the switch is relocated and the relay or other crucial part is still where the old switch was, but then we could not flame people who come here for legit help.
