I want to sand my car down and get it ready to prime it myself but the problem is I have no clue on how to do this or what to use basically nothing.... I need some pointers on how to sand then paint off my car and them get it prime.... Can someone help me please, thanks.

 

Ok Usually a scuff with 320 grit and a block will do it but if you have clear flaking off the car then you need to take down abit farther at least into the good paint. Youll know your there when the dust from sanding starts to turn to your paint color from white.... (unless your car is white ) Any how go to walmart and get you a sanding block and some 150 grit 220 grit 320 grit and 400grit make sure you get the wet sand paper (used with water to help lube) that should be good enough.... Are you fixing any bodywork or just primering it? You Sprayin yourself?

 

Nah I'm not doing anybody work just sanding it down... My car is clover green pearl if that helps.
