burning oil and slipping clutch?
Recently I have noticed my car has been consuming what I think to be an abnormally large amount of oil. I changed the oil myself in July and made sure I put in 4 quarts. Dipstick registered perfect and that was that.
Fast forward about a month and a half ago and I did a valve adjustment. I did it myself but am certain I did it right, followed "proper steps and clearances". I had a Honda technician listen to the motor and he said it sounded fine.
In early October I checked all fluid levels and noticed no oil was registering on the dipstick. Now I was thinking WTF? No oil leaks to be seen, motor runs awesome, no smoke out the exhaust.
Just within the last few day I have intermittently experience clutch slippage during spirited driving. I am wondering if a leaking rear main seal is the culprit to these problems?
What is an acceptable amount of oil loss in between oil changes? Certainly not a whole quart right? I am confused and worried about my B18C1.

Actually, using about a quart of oil a month is about right for a B series VTEC(especially if you spend lots of time in VTEC). I think your clutch is shot from wear, not oil contamination. If it was oil contaminated, it would slip all the time, not just when it gets hot from "spirited driving".
toss the car in the air, use brake clean to get rid of all the grease and dirt from the underside of the tranny and behind the inspection sheild and look for a leak.
