i ordered all the parts from vp fab for a ramhorn... Head flange, 10 long radious 90s two 45s 2 ft. of straight and a collector with t3 flang... btw it is 1.5 inch shc.10
when i went to mate up the 90 to the flange it did not fit in side and if i was to weld it up i believe it would sacrifice air flow.... now i can bend the ends that go into the flange and then they will widen out a lil bit and looks like they will fit nicely... any advice..... thanks in advance

use a shop press to oval them without leaving marks. if you don't care about the marks, use a bench vise. soft jaws are good too if you have them. if there is a little overlap from fit ment, either melt it down when your welding the inside pipe to flange or get out a carbide burr and start porting.
ok... first off... you ordered 10 weld elbows (90degree)? you need 12 to make a ramhorn. THREE for each cylinder!
why order two 45s when they cost more than a typical 90 degree elbow? Just get a 90 and cut in half to make the two 45s.
look closely and count them with me...

ok... well can you not count? Look at the ramhorn PICTURED!
lol at whoever VP fab is.
the two 45s are for cylinders 2&3 off the head flange.... and you still need 12, 90degree bends. This is simple... if you don't notice you need 12, then you don't need to even be working a saw to make this manifold

so that sweet VP fab site is selling RAMHORN kits with out enough material? or is that just what you happened to order not realizing you need more material

no he is a really nice guy... great customer service... maybe he had something mixed up.... i pmed him earlier.. will go check and see if he replied... im sure he will make it right.... thumbs up to VP fab
the reason he and 99% of the people use 45o bends is becuase they are only slightly more expensive and there is zero labor in making one compared to what you resommended cutting a 90o in half re beveling the edge, hoping its at 45o and not off center, which is pretty simple to mess up if you are a customer that is buying material on the first manifold youve ever made and you are useing only a cut off saw to cut...
