Default question...

okay, i know there are a lot of opinions out there, but what mods (bolt ons and such) would you recommend for a 07 si 4dr. i only have an intake, and am looking at cheap effective mods. i am working with a reasonably small budget (less than $500). what have you guys found to work the best? any help would be useful.

power and suspension. i know suspension wise there isn't much i can do with the car on this budget, so mainly power. any suspension mods would be useful too. i'm not really concerned with the car's appearance, as i like it to begin with.

i have looked around corsport, and like a lot of the things i have seen, as well as the prices. what i am looking for, is what is the most effective, as far as upgrades.

Usually the first big step is intake/exhaust (and header if you can swing it) followed by the Hondata reflash. But that is all out of your budget at the moment...you could piece it together bit by bit though

with the header, i have a guy locally that's trying to sell the dc race header, but i was concerned with the cel, and if it has any effect on that. i need something reliable, and don't want to have to deal with any 02 sensor issues like i had on the ep3. what exhaust is pulling the best numbers with the least annoying noise (no fart can sound)?

I would just save up another $150 or so and get the reflash. Besides that, nothing is really gonna match that gains that gives you, unless you go for like a DC race header. I think extending your peak power range from 2400 to 4100 RPMs (I think that's right..) is a lot more usefull than the ~10-15 whp you'll gain from a header.

so, the reflash is obviously pretty good. would this help to do now, or should i wait until i get a header/exhaust. also, what kind of gains do most people see from the intake gaskets, or maybe a tsx throttle body with ported im?

okay. also, what i'm looking into the urethane engine mounts, what type of gains can be seen from the chassis bracing and sway bars? i know i have heard some people complaining about the progress bars tearing up control arms, any truth to this on the si?

Get the Lsd Cat-back exhaust on lsdmotorsports.com before their sale ends and the price goes up.

With $500 there not much you can do suspension or powerwise. A catback will cost you $500 to $600 and assumes you are doing the install. A header is $600 and up that I have seem.

Personally, I would save a bit more. If you get something just because it is cheap, you may be very disappointed.

Fujita SRI and DCRH yielded a pretty good jump in power for me. The two combined were under $600 bucks.

But installation will push it over for sure.

installation isn't an issue. i have the resources and ability to install anything short of cutting and splicing wires. that's voodoo for me. had to many bad experiences with poor wiring jobs. i am probably going with the dc race header, assuming there are no issues with the 02 sensor. are the throttle body spacers and intake gaskets showing any improvements?
