Max Distance on 1 Tank of Fuel
I was wondering what others have done in their accords. Mine is a manual, so I can probably go a little farther than the autos. I have done 457 on my tank (93 accord) and had to fill up about 14.1 gallons. What about everyone else? thanks.
Before I took my car off the road for the winter I filled my tank with 50L/13.2 Gallons. I reset the trip meter and drove it until the fuel light came on. It read 796Km/494miles. After I do my build I'll probably be lucky to get half that.
Oh well, power is alot funner than fuel economy.

When was the last time you did a full tune up? Do you follow the dealership/Accord Manuals recommended maintenance schedule? That has a lot to do with how long your car will run at it's best. I think Honda Motor Co. knows a thing or two about engines!
Alright thanks, its looking like 500 would be the maxiumum you could push a tank of gas. Basically when I drive to and from school I would like to be able to drive from Boulder, CO all the way across Wyoming. I'm pretty close it sounds like.

Mines pretty consistent at 360-370miles per tank (just under 14 gallons). 28-32mpg, matters how hard i push her, plus i do plenty of city driving and cold mornings suck in michigan

I'd hate to run out of gas in the middle of BFE Wyoming in the middle of winter just because you wanted to drive on one tank. I'd stop, fill up and do it in two tanks. What would happen if you were to slide off of the road and weren't found for days? I'd like some gas in that tank to run the engine to use the heater

lol. We need a OFFICIAL MPG tread.
I get about 400 easily on the highway. My fuel guage does not work, so the most I push it to is about 450miles. I think I have room to go more though, but with a 'sometimes workin' fuel guage, I dont want to risk it.
I get about 30.5-31.5 MPG on the highway. occasionally, I might see a 32MPG and sometimes, I might see 33MPG, but those are rare, and might be due to filling error in how much I 'topped off' last.

i usually go for about 430 before i fill up again. the warning light doesnt come on around that mileage, but i just like to be safe.
mpg during the summer when i did a lot of hwy driving was at best 33.1 and was usually around 32.
