The other day i put a skunk 2 I/m on my stock gsr motor hooked everything up how it was and when i started it up it idled like complete ****, so in fear of doing some engine damege i put the old mani back on and it still ran like ****, symtoms inclue black smoke/liqued coming out the tailpipe,Iratic idle from 1600 to 3500 rmps, fouling plugs,cel comes on after 5 mins. i can drive it in first gear and reverse but it dies when i put it in second

 

did you get the map and tps plugs backwards?

Very common mistake, i've seen 2 of my friends do that in the last couple of months.

 

i thought i may have theres a blue one and a gray one and i had the gray one in the map sensor. but it dosent seem to have any affect when i swap them, mabye i did some kind of damege when i was running it with them switched?

 

Make sure you didn't cross any of your vacuum lines and coolant lines.
