I got a 98 Lx with power locks. Installed an alarm (clifford 10.5x) and everything works except when i try to use the power lock switch on the drivers door which doesnt work anymore. The alarm locks and unlocks but the switch on the door is now dead. I pull out the door lock wires comming from the alarm and the door lock switch works again. wtf? I cant figure out whats wrong. Never had this problem with my other installs.

 

I'm not sure, but the same thing happens with my Civic. However mine works sometimes and judging by the feel of the manual switch on the door I'd say that my switch is just faulty. However, I'm definitely curious about anything anyone has to say about your problem.

 

my switch works just fine when i unplug the door lock wires comming from the alarm.
