Default Crush washer question

Hey everyone, just wondering if you don't buy OEM crush washers where do you get them at? I got one from autozone a while back but I don't think it's a real crush washer because I'm 99% sure it's what caused my oil leak at the bolt. I was going to reuse the old crush washer but the people used the wrong size last time and I had to literally cut it off.

So now, since the head of my oil pan bolt is almost stripped because the people put it on so tight I'm going to replace it with a magnetic drain bolt and change my oil again..sigh..but I need to know if you would suggest getting a crush washer anywhere besides the dealership? Thanks for the help,

Bryan

A lot of magnetic drain plugs come with reusable washers. I have one and have changed my oil a few times without it leaking at all. If you can get a crush washer from a dealer, that is what I would do. If not, the reusable ones are probably fine for at least a few oil changes. I have not been able to find crush washers anywhere but from a dealer.

Helms manual says 33 lbs/ft. I never pay attention to that, just don't over tighten it.

A lot of Honda service shops will sell new factory filters and crush washers. Don't necessarily have to go to the dealer for them.

I think password JDM sells a little bag of them.

I hope your reasoning for not going to the dealer is because of distance, becuase the washer at the dealer is like 23 cents or 43(don't remember). Find a friend with extras.

It's not because it's far, I was just curious because I didn't get my last one at the dealer. From now on I will definitely buy all of them from a dealer or somewhere else that sells the right ones.
