pcv valve location
Tonight i decided to clean out my catch can and put some new hose on it, so i pulled it off and while i was removing it i decided to move the pcv valve from the IM to the outlet directly on top of the breather box on the back of the block. I was just wondering if there are any ill effects of having the pcv valve located there as opposed to having it in the stock location on the intake manifold. Here are som pics to show exactly what i'm talking about.

the main reason i did this is because its difficult to route the lines cleanly to the catch can with it up on top of the manifold with the hose down on the back of the block its much easier to run them to the can.

I guess that's an OBD-2 engine.
My OBD-1 B18C1 has the PCV valve on top of the box on the back of the block as stock anyway.
And believe me, it's a royal PITA to get to.
probably why I've kind of forgotten about it over the years. It's probably been nearly 150,000 miles since the last time I changed out the PCV valve... guess I should do that.
