Laws Concerning Blinkers
Does anyone know the law (Georgia) or any other state pertaining too having clear corner lens with clear bulbs instead of amber for your turn signals? I have 1993 Integra that i am wanting to change my corner and bumper lens to JDM clear but i am concerned with that even being legal in my state?
I think its fine everywhere, Because the 2000 civics have the Red and clear tail lights and there tail light is clear and has a clear bulb that blinks in the back.

I'm pretty sure that most, if not all 99-00 Civics come with amber 1157 bulbs for the rear turn signals.
I know toyota's older camry's and whatn0t came with clear corners, as well as clear bulbs from the factory! I think as long as you don't have blue colored bulbs, you'll be fine.

from what a PA cop told me:
front turn signals can only be amber
rear turn signals can be amber or red
white/blue turn signals will get you pulled over!

Nope, they came with amber bulbs inside clear lenses. I know because I used to have an 89 Camry with amber lenses and I swapped them out for the 90-91 clear lenses.
The problem on most cars that come with amber bulbs and clear lenses is that people are too dumb to realize that they need to put in a bulb of the same color as what they took out, and so they end up with regular clear bulbs inside their turn signal housings that also have clear lenses, or even worse, a clear bulb on one side and amber on the other side.

Ignoring state laws, US law for car turn signals are:
Red to amber in back
White to amber in front
The word "to" is correct here, as colors between those listed are legal as well.
Amber can be achieved either with an amber bulb, or a colored lens. Red bulbs are illegal, you have to use a clear bulb with a red lens.
Same colors as turn signals are allowed in front/rear marker lamps, but side marker lamps have to be amber front and red rear.
The reason most clear corners are illegal is not because of the bulb. Most of them remove the legally required colored reflectors, and many users of clear corners do not use an amber side marker.
On most Civics (92-00 at least), the corner lamp functions as:
1) front marker lamp
2) side marker lamp
3) turn signal
1 and 3 can legally be white, 2 cannot be. But since its the same bulb, it legally has to be amber.
*edit: I dislike white front turn signals, because I don't always see them on the first blink. It looks like the car just went over a bump or something, and glared at me quickly. On the 2nd blink, I notice its a turn signal. Hopefully, most people don't suffer from this.

thanks guys..i appreciate all the help..i will do the clear corner with the amber bulbs just too be safe i think..question number 2.
H3 H4 bulbs..8000 and 8500 and 6000 gases???..what is all that concerning the actual bulb..i left my stock integra headlights on there for now, b/c i dont have the money to do JDM right now so I replaced the main headlamps with the blue bulbs...now the foglights look white compared to the main headlamps, which looks kinda dorky in my opinion..i bought a set of 93 integra blue fog light bulbs, but when i put them in my foglights they looked just as white as the ones i pulled out even though the glass bulbs are blue...do i need to get something different to get that same effect from my foglights as i do the headlights?

umm.... what?
umm.... what?
Basically on the OEM Integra lights from the outside of the car working toward the middle you have 4 bulbs per side...two in the corner (both 168) your headlight bulb, and then foglight (H3)...my 168 bulb that is in the orange portion of my corner lens is fine..except when i change my corner lens to clear..then that bulb will no longer be orange, it will be whiite...they dont sell 168 regular Amber bulbs that I have found..the only thing I see is LED Amber and ppl say you use those with the same color bulb as lens, so basically i am back to square 1 with a white blinker. .so that i havent figured out yet..the other bulb in the corner lens is white..i have changed that one to blue 168's, but they still look white to me. I have also changed the H3's blue bulbs in the stock foglights also with ebay bulbs and they still look white also...i love the expensive blue bulbs that i have in my headlamps, but when all my lights are on I have orange on the corner, white, blue, white..and i want orange on the corner (with a clear lens) blue (corner) blue (headlamp) and blue (foglight)....Does this make sense??

194 bulbs are exactly the same size and will work in place of 168, and I know for sure that you can get amber 194's anywhere. I got some from AutoZone to put in my gauge cluster.
According to Sylvania's lamp specs, their 194 bulbs are rated at 2500-5000 hours vs. 168 which is only rated at 1500 hours for life span.

I have clear blubs on my turn signals with clear lense and no hassles. As long as its lights up some kind of a yellow hue (the clear bulb doesn't look like a pure white more like an off white yellowish) you should be ok.
