Default How to fix up touch up paint?

Sup all,

I was trying to repair some minor scratches near the emblem of the hood but as you can see it turned out bad. how can i fix this to look less noticeable? I heard maybe some acetone? Its regular touch up paint. any ideas will be appreciated.

You would probally wet sand it with some very fine grit paper then polish it.

Ill see if I can find a thread I saw about a guy fixing a scratch with touch up paint. It looked perfect when he got done.

just get a little bit of laquer thinner, it'll take that touch up garbage right offf! no need to wetsand it!

i would lightly wetsand that off along with the scratches to minimize the appearance then buff it out. that is your best bet...the touch up paint may stay in the cracks when you sand so that is a plus...

If I use laquer thinner, would it remove the original surrounding paint if I'm not careful? I'm just worried about damaging the paint.

Word, and maybe tape your emblem up when you buff. And be carefull around the edges. Laquer would deff. be a bad idea.
