My first sports car: Integra Ls
I just bought a 94 integra LS (auto). I was wondering what I could do to improve 0-60 time, torque and hp of the car. I was planning on getting headers, a new fuel line regulator, a catback and maybe cams. Also somewhere down the line I want to add a super/turbo charger. And just out of curiosity Would it be possible to have say +300HP on this car? I trying to learn more about cars and such so any help is most welcomed.
I requested a short story for a title.

a buddy of mine boosted an auto integra and he kept blowin through trannies, maybe it was just him tho.
and how far down the line will this turbo be? dont buy **** your just doing to take back off like header, or CAI. my advice would be save for a turbo if thats what you really want to do and if you can sawp that boy over to a manaul.
lots of info here so read up and everything has been done or tried so if ya dont find it your not lookin hard enough. good luck

No it probably wasn't just him. Honda auto trannys arent the strongest things in the world, 300hp is probably going to be going through trannys left and right. Depending on how you drive of course.
First thing you need to do is swap it to manual and then turbo it from there. With a decent turbo setup/tune 300hp is easily obtainable.

Tell that to my insurance company.
OP: Make a plan before you buy anything. It is useless to buy a header or 60mm exhaust and then go turbo.

Indeed. I used to have a little crappy mazda MX-6 and they considered it a sports car and it was black too so that didnt' make my insurance bill any better.

an integra is considered a sport compact. and most insurance companies could care less what color your car is. with about 80 percent of insurance companies they typically dont know what color your car is

Welcome to H-T. I remember when I was in the same boat as you, and i was excited about my 1st teg. Ill be honest, auto's are the hardest to mod essentially. Unless youre very mechanically inclined, auto to manual swaps are a pain in the ***.
I would do things like suspension, wheels and tires for handling. Save up and then swap over into a manual 4 dr.

Anyway, that's cool. I'm glad you chose the Integra, it's good platform to work with. I definitely can't wait to own my very first Integra. No matter if it takes me months or years, hell, it has to be a manual transmission.
