Default My damn civic (pics) for all the help

I figured I'd make this thread to post some pics of my '93 si hatch because you guys have helped me out a ton with all the bs I've gone through with it between two engine swaps and multiple other little problems. So I thought some of you might want to see what it is you've been helping with.

Here's one of the engine bay

Passenger side - Yes the passsenger door window is the only one untinted because my old window shattered this summer and I haven't tinted the new glass I put in yet because I've had other things that were more important to fix.

Drivers side

Of course on both sides I've got the classic rust in the rear quarters but I've already got patch panels and just waiting for a chance to get them put on, I actually I'm going to have it done at a high school, a friend of mines little brother is in shop class at a local high school and they'll do it as long as I provide the materials.

The rear

And now the best part

you're the only other person so far on HT that I've seen with a fully painted block other than me.... same color as well. Everyone else just paints the valve cover...

Nice subs by the way.

Are those HP racing 4-2-1 headers?

It's an ebay header, couldn't tell you the brand, but I'm loving it, it is 4-2-1 and I had full exhaust built back with 2.25" piping to the muffler.

The block was painted when I got it...it's flaking badly but I needed the car to run. The valve cover was painted too...pink. I suppose the teg I got the motor from was driven by a girl whos dad loved chevy's so she got the pink valve cover and he got to paint the block orange lol.

The stock ones were busted when I bought the car like a year ago...and these were as cheap as stock replacements so I went with it. I never have to see them anyway, and to change back I'd have to spend like 6 hours pulling out and putting back my stereo.

Pretty sick stereo, doesn't match the exterior of the car at all.

Lol I agree, the block is funny painted orange like that, but I think it's funny. Like I said though I didn't paint it, I haven't really done anything to the car because every 3 months or so the motor blows. In the year I've had it I've blown 2 d16z6's and now I've put in the b18.

I did sand down and paint the valve cover...because I had no intention whatsoever of driving around with a pink one. The exterior looks like **** because I bought the car to use as a competition stereo car, with what I've got in it it's an easy 140 db with stock glass. Once I get the lexan it'll probably easily be 155 or 160 with the same components I have now.

I'm much more interested in how it sounds than how it looks. It's slow anyway, and with the stereo I get enough attention from cops as it is. The last thing I need is flashy paint and a body kit making every ricer in town try to race me.

No, the vanity plate is definitely the best part.
