Default B16 Rod Bearing is thinner? Pictures

1,200 track only miles since the last time I did bearings. Pulled them all out and replaced them. I didn't notice this while I had it up in the car but when I put them all side by side. One bearing was decidedly more worn and on a closer look was thinner (in width) then the rest by at least 3 mm. If memory is correct this guy came out of the top of the rod bearing on the #4 piston (and the only reason I remember that Is I made a note that one, was the only one the color was gone on the bearing.... I now realize because something was rubbing in on it in a bad way). What in the hell could have caused it to wear like that.....

Sorry for the picture quality.... taken with a cell phone camera that likes to reverse the image.

Yes race motor. Built to stock clearances.....
Now I might have just pulled the dumbest mistake ever... There was a Mini Cooper Motor taken apart on the same bench last week. I might have misplaced the civic bearing when pulling it out and this might have been a left over mini bearing on the bench. Unfortunately I don't have any other mini bearings sitting around to check the size of it to see if I'm just an idiot. The tech that took the mini apart thought he tossed all the bearings in the trash. I've looked around a bit and don't see my 8th civic bearing anywhere.... but this would explain everything if i'm just clumsy.

Look at the rod and see if the bearing was walking side to side or if the rod is thinner, allowing the bearing to be exposed. Put one of the other cylinder's bearings in it and see if they protrude.

Well this thread is a big never mind. I found the 8th civic bearing... I got a Mini bearing mixed in. Oddly enough it has the same radius as the civic bearings. Any way... I feel stupid. Please delete this.
sincerely the worlds worst mechanic. It's amazing my car runs.

Actually I think thats friggin amazing that a Honda ran 1200 track miles with a Mini Cooper engine bearing in it and nothing really bad happened! I'll give you a for being a clutz and a for a good story.

I'll never be able to be taken seriously again on this board. Remember me... I'm the guy who thought he had a bearing problem because he had the wrong bearing sitting on the desk!
