MPFI Conversion done and now codes
I did the mpfi conversion a couple months ago and i kept getting an o2 sensor code. when i did it i didnt solder all my connections so i figured that i would solder them first and then see if i am still gettin the code. so i soldered all my connections a couple of days ago and i am still getting the same code. i want to kno if i should change out the 02 sensor. i am not sure if i should've changed the single wire o2 sensor to a 3 or four wire sensor(which ever one is used) or if i should keep it a single wire o2 sensor. i have the pm6 ecu and all connections were checked numerous times. i just want to make sure i am not missing anything
keep the single wire 02 if your running a pm6, thats what it should be. otherwise i have no idea except that the sensor is bad, the sensors are cheap, i work at pepboys, its about 25 bucks for a universal one that will work
I had the same ECU error code after my MPFI swap, it ended up being a timing issue related to the distributor wires (the 2 white wires) being swapped. It will retard your timing without throwing a code. I compensated for this with cam and ignition timing. When I found out about the two white wires being swapped, and swapped them back, I had to adjust my cam timing and ignition timing back to where they were suppose to be. No more O2 error code.
thats what i was hoping for that it was just a bad o2 sensor but i wanted to make sure i didnt overlook anything. i will definitely re-check those two white wires that u are talkin about rustbucketrex because i remember i had to switch those two around before a couple of times. thanks for everyones help. another question: what do u guys think of the b-series motor mounts sold on ebay for 88-91 civics/crx? they were only 90 shipeed so i fugured i would give em a try. plus they have a lifetime warantee on them
Those brackets are very thin. My friends mount broke and his b16 fell on the floor on one side.
They probably will not mount the motor in the right position. You may get axel bind or hood closure problems.
