Default Quick Clutch Question

I have a cable si tranny, and the problem is that when I have the clutch pedal pressed all the way down to the ground, that it is hard to put the car into gear. It grinds when I put it in reverse. I have tried adjusting the cable, because that is what I usually do when the clutch feels funny.

Is this a sign that there might be a failure of some kind?? Plz help, thanks

there are no syncros in reverse in any ef.

try putting it in second and then reverse, and if that doesnt work, try letting out the clutch ever so slowly to get reverse to go in. sometimes you park just right so that the teeth for the gears mesh on top of one another rather than between each other. slowly letting out the clutch makes the input shaft spin and allows the teeth to mesh.

its a coincidence that you said this. Because when I stopped by a mechanic to ask why this is happening, he said that my clutch might be going out or maybe my pressure plate. But as I was pulling out, it went into gear just fine... Maybe its the 400+ dollars he quoted me on the fix and my car heard it?? lol jp

but yeah, I dont know if the parking thing really does happen, but it seemed like the gears did meshed ontop of each other. But I do think that the clutch is going out...
