the stock chip huh? oh well still not bad for $30 right??? well now, here is my next question.....where can i purchase some reputable chips for my ecu? i kno there is ebay but i want some good stuff? thanks again.
DO NOT Buy an Ebay chip!!! There are all **** copies of basically stock maps with more fuel, timing, random vtec X-overs and ridicuosly high rev limits.
Go to someone who will burn you a base map in BRE to get it running, and then get atleast a street tune to make sure your running safe. No basemap or "chip" will run your setup perfect.

in order to have a chip burned for what i need, would i have to take my car in to a shop and have them run the dyno and then set my new maps? even if its a basic LS Vtec for right now? i mainly just want my knock sensor disabled. if i do have to take it in does anyone in northern cali know of any good shops?

well i found out today that it is a stock chip. mainly because i drove on it for about 10 minutes and got a code 23 (knock sensor)
. it acted just like my other virgin PR3 and my other 2 virgin PW0's. so at least i know that the ecu and chip both work. lol

u should try John Kerr at http://www.j-k-tuning.com he chipped my ecu he does good work.
Not true. John tuned my obd0 car on BRE.
He's on the other side of the country from you but I can vouch for his work.
Anyone that is familiar with crome will most likely do BRE too.
