get oil out of carpet?

i have some mobil clean 5000 bottles in my trunk, and their covers on it goes to **** once its tipped over. so i have oil in my trunk carpet that i cant get off, i tried using towels and newspaper, didnt work. the oil is stuck on there

is there a way that i can take it off? simple green?

i get oil stains out with "Shout", a toothbrush, and scrubbing. Rinse and repeat if needed.

it should work well on carpet, as it works well on my delicate choch bar shirts.
