Why do some type-r owners take of their stickers????
I went to a car show yesterday out on the east end of Long Island and saw two cw itr w/o the itr stickers on them . I took a walk over two them and they were the real deal .What is the need for this? Will some one back me up on this one!!!
Shouldnt they be pround to own one. It pisses me off so much, to have a one of a kind car and disrespect it like that. If they do it to try to fool a theif, the theif isnt that stupid, every body can tell the difference betwen a itr and a reg teg. . Is
it the new thing to do???????????

i plan on removing mine....i like the sleeper look, if your to concerned with everybody knowing you have a ITR , then your liable to attract attention, from theives , plus nobody will race cause i got a ITR , so at least with no stickers the stupid ricers will maybe think my tegs a ls, or gs-r

it works on the ricers too...they don't bother you as much if you dont have the type R stickers..makes it a little less noticeable

I don't understand it either; the wing, lug count and often color (PY) tell you it's an R!... I'm keeping mine.

I would remove them, and my GSR badge to avoid scum bagg thiefs.I have a green GSR with tan leather, without my badge it looks like an LS,there aren't that many green GSR's around, why I would remove the badge.
i did it because i thought it offered a cleaner looking car.

tats a sweet loking R...i'm either gonna take all the badges off, and replace them with OEM non-ITR emblems , or just leave them all off....cause i just know some idiot is gonna try and rip off the red eblems and **** up my paint

and if you really want to throw people off get a jdm front w/ some honda badges, shave the acura lettering, and get racing hart m7000 rims so they cant count the lugs either
My car has 88k miles on it. Last time I took the sticker off of my old SI which only had 10k miles on it, it left a outline. Did you get an outline when you took off your stickers? If so, are there things you can buy to make it off? I want to take mine off too cause I think it looks a lot better but I dont want to leave a mark/outline. Thanks!
I'm going to take my stickers off........and put gs doors on my car as well.....along with a gsr wing..........and a GS tach

I'll tell you why. Because it's embarrassing when riced out neons, civics and even some domestic muscle cars have in Big *** Letters "Type R" on the windshield and every where else you can possibly think of on there pos. The very first drive I had in my car I was laughed at by a woman and her daughter probably because of the R stickers like everybody else. That's why I was thinking of getting personalized tags "Real ITR" or Real Type R" etc....Just my opinion. I hate ricers.

Because it's their car and they can do what they want with it. Personally I think arrrrrrr's look better without them.
I have a PY ITR.. and am plannign to leave the side tags but take off the rear, ITR tag and acura tag on the otehr side.. and then shave the keyhole on the trunk lid cus u don't need it, it actually looks a lot cleaner if you do that.... and it looks funny if u take the ITR tag on the back off and leave the acura tag on the left side on .. cus both sides shoudl have something or nothing.
I personally think it looks cleaner.
Removed stickers and shaved emblems+keyholes!

i actually had it all done:
Shave front emblem and repaint
Paint and replace door handles w/rear 4dr handles (no keyholes.. cheaper than shaving)
Shave rear emblem + rear keyhole + repaint
Also repainted my front lip again for free (scrapes)
All for a grand total of $400!!
PJ Bonifacio is the bomb in so-cal! I drove down a few summers ago.. took them about a week... awesome!
