so i was thinking bout using sea foam my car has been sittin for about 6 months durning my rebuild (car was stolen) and i need to do smog now

do you guys recommend using sea foam ?

 

i work at autozone i heard people said it work really well...i havent try it but sure you can try it

 

works great from my experience. Be sure to change your oil and spark plugs afterwards.

you dont have to do this if you mix it with your gas when you fill up. i don't recommend putting it with your oil or through the intake manifold.

ya seafoam really cleans out your engine pretty well, it will smoke like hell though so be ready for neighbors to give you wierd looks and rants

 

Do a smog pretest before and after you do the seafoam, i would like to see if there are any significant effects on the emission numbers.

it works pretty well, just add through the vacuum line,change your oil and spark plugs like everyone else said, and be ready for your car to look like a space shuttle taking off haha

my instructor swears by em, a little priceyer than seafoam, but works very well.

what are you talking about? the seafoam i see is 6$ a can, its cheaper than gas.

 

I've also heard of BG products, someone needs to do a smog pretest before and after using one of these so called system cleaners to see if there is a significant effect on emission number.

its 8 dollars a can at the station...and for me its a little pricey for what? 12 ounces?
