Spoon Sports JDM CTR at Thunderhill 25hr last weekend
My roomate just got back from the 25hr race at Thunderhill. He took these pics in the pit area.
He said the CTR performed extremely well, but was not able to finish due to a cracked oil pan and a couple other hickups.

Marshall didn't know you went down to Thunderhill? How's the R?</TD></TR></TABLE>
My roomate actually went with his Porsche racing team. They did not qualify, started in the back of the grid, and after 3hrs they were 1st in class, but were set back due to a blown out exhaust primary and ended up finishing in the back.
R is fine, she's on jackstands awaiting replacement transmission internals.

Nice pics! I was there in the pits w/ Spoon. The oil pan was actually repaired, but the car shut off on the track a few minutes before the end of the race. Apparently, the o2 sensor was grounding out and blew the fuse. The problem wasn't noticed until after the race was over.
They had a lot of setbacks with the car unfortunately. They also did not do a qualifying run, and started almost at the back. They were in first place within 15 minutes. After the oil pan incident, the car was behind almost 30 laps and got within 4 laps of leading their class again, until bowing out.
The wheels are from AME, made by Enkei. The car came from Japan with RE30's, but used the AME's b/c that is their current sponsor in the U.S.

Do these cars not need to be homologized in one way or another to compete, or is that not neccessary in this type of racing?
Car did not pass tech on friday morning because the main hoop in the roll cage wasnt welded 360 degree....
idk how they ended up passing tech.... I still like the blue and yellow cars though.

Not really, they are AME FS01 made by Enkei. AME is pretty popular in the 350Z world.
