AP2 cluster into AP1?
ok so...I like how the AP2 cluster's water temp and gas gauges have more bars than AP1...
However, I have an AP1 and am very unwilling to switch to an (inferior and slow hehe) AP2.
How to remedy the situation? buy a (possibly stolen) AP2 cluster off eBay and swap it into my car.
My question is this: are the instrument clusters directly swappable, or will some other components be needed?
Addendum A: Will Honda change the mileage on the new cluster to match that of the car's current cluster?

there is an AP2 style gauge with a 9k redline. they were put in the JDM AP2's cause those AP2's had an f20c (wonder why they did that......ANYWAY). I've been trying to find one for several months now with no luck. If you find one let me know. The only mod you would have to do is have it rewired to show MPH. This guy does the conversion.

Aye, the EDM and JDM ones are 9k, which is what I'm after. My only worry was the physical swap (mounting size, points, depth etc and wiring, but since the way they function is the same I'd be surprised if it changed).

All s2000 clusters (possibly the newer Civic ones too since they are also digital) can toggle between KM/H and MP/H with a button on the front, so no rewiring is needed.

according to the mark lamond website the jdm and edm clusters only show the km/h that it needs to be rewired to show mp/h. dunno if that is true or not haven't tried or seen it happen.
