DIY lip
Before you say "search" I did, and didn't find what I was looking for after searching the 42 threads that came up. Also, I don't care that it's "junky looking" or "was done along time ago" just to clear all that up.
I have a question regarding the Home Depot DIY lip. I know many used screws to rivet the lip on. Do you screw the new lip on top of your existing oem lip? Or where do you screw through?
Also, did you guys put anything on the back of the screws to keep them from falling out, the last thing I want is a flat tire going down the road... I know people suggesting using L brackets to keep the lip from folding/warping at higher speeds, where did you screw those in, and how far apart (and/or how many brackets?)
TIA

no, i would use L braker and like 15 of em or so. Screw them into the bumper, and put a lip on with bolts, washers and some nuts in behind. More screws looks better than les for that lip.

well take that black rubber stuff that goes on the bottom of the wall adn connects it to the carpet in the cheap office buildings. Wrap it around your bumper, you got yourself a lip.

No, lol @ paying too much money for something that cracks etc. when I go over a speedbump and is not worth that much money, when I can just have some cheap lip that it doesn't matter if it scrapes or not and I can make 3 or 4 lips out of a $6 roll of the stuff. That's whats lol.

i think the only reason people put those lips on their cars is for track days...
if you plan on rocking a home depot lip around town
keep the stock lip. it usually looks 10x better than any aftermarket lip anyway
