Default Headbolts?

Hey got a blown headgasket..(neat) Not sure if i have to replace my headbolts or not...

Do i need to?If so what brands would be good, i was thinking of going with arp.Thanks!

no, you dont need to replace them. stock h22 doesnt have the power to make the head lift.

Yeah, they can be reused a couple times, but after that you would want to get new stock bolts because they stretch.

ya in autos' my teacher was tellin us that you should always replace them because they stretch after you torque em.

i mean they shouldnt be that expensive so u should jus replace em anyways IMO.

Due to bolt stretch you should ALWAYS replace your factory head studs. This is also what the OEM manual recommends. Now some people have gotten away with re-using them but some people have also fallen 3 stories and walked away with no injuries. On forced induction and high hp set-ups especially re-using them will lead to problems the majority of the time. Spend 150 bucks and buy a set of ARP's and have the insurance that you won't have any problems later down the road.
