rear sway
I keep hearing about rear sway bars, and at this 'custom auto shop' I went to said, he's never heard of a rear sway for an Integra. I said not even the Type R, and he said no. He said you can get rear upper and lower strut bars, but not rear sway. Are these guys full of sh*t. They have been in business for a while and I got my intake and header from them..What's the deal?
HAHAHAHA..... take a look under your car for a pretzeled stick of metal and ask those morons what that part is.... then smack them in the face with a large, dead tuna.... then go home and log onto honda-tech and next time you can put that crap on the car yo'self !

ok, I'm trying to find a Type R rear sway, and the Acura dealership said it probably won't fit. He has never heard of anyone doing this, and hasen't heard of the mounting kit..What the F? I tried the acuraautomotiveparts.net, and I can't find the damn thing. I'm in Northen VA, and I can't believe we have so many ignorant people up here.I think Inline Performance knows what they are doing, but the guy alreadys sounds confused. Where in the hell can I get this part and mouniting kit without all the hassle.
Thanks

look at this https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=213487&page=1 theres a couple of ways to get these parts.. beaks sells everything you need to install..bsq has subframe reinforcement parts yo need and you can buy the other parts from your local dealer..
So if I get this, I'm good to go. I get the R-rear sway, and all the necessary mountings.. Correct?

Show them this, and after that, I agree with the dead tuna deal. Then also smack them with a trout. A big one.
Check BSQ's site and ahmotor (both linked from my page above) to get all the parts you need.
[edit] this is the first time I've seen an integra rear swaybar thread with NO BSQ in it! Anyone wanna take bets on how long it takes him to find it?

Here's how:
1.) Go to http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/...searchpart.jsp and enter the following part numbers to order:
52300-ST7-Z01 rear swaybar
52315-ST7-Z01 swaybar bushing (2 needed)
52308-SS0-000 bushing bracket (2 needed)
52316-ST7-Z00 endlink bushing (2 needed)
52312-ST7-Z00 endlink bushing collar (4 needed) – this part can be reused from the stock swaybar
90175-ST7-Z00 bolt (8x35) (2 needed)
94050-08080 flange nut (8mm) (2 needed)
2.) Go to http://www.geocities.com/bretq/mounting_kit.html to order Type-R rear swaybar mounting/reinforcement kit (aka BSQ mounting kit).
3.) Go to http://www.geocities.com/bretq/swaybar_install.html for complete step-by-step instructions for installing the Type-R rear swaybar.
4.) Drive car and have one of these
indefenitely!!!

DeeSeeToo, it's 'Quality Tire Custom Auto Shoppe' in Woodbridge, VA. Call them and give them ****..The idoits..I might be ignorant, since I'm knew to this scene, but these guys are nobody's..703-491-9005..That's right, with two p's.
Spend time and do the research on this board.
There are tons of info and people here are more than willing to help you out also.
Looks like you know more about cars than that 'custom auto shop'.
Don't waste your valuable time educating them.

Thanks a lot BSQ, I ordered everything as you said. I can't wait to get this bad boy on. I hope I can get it on before I go to Summit Point Raceay in WV...Man, dialing these cars is real addicting. I need to stop..Already spent $2000...So much more I want!!

.I'm not sure what other suspension upgrades you have or if this will be your first time driving at Summit Point, but I will be suprised if you don't say WOW after upgrading to the Type-R rear swaybar. I have never driven at Summit, but I have driven at Mid Ohio, Gingerman, Putnam Park and Nelson Ledges and after each track event I'm always ecstatic at how well my car handles on the track. The car always goes where I "point" it and never surprises me.
When will you be going to Summit? Let me know how it goes...I would like to hear your feedback.
I'll be going this Sat..They have a big event going on all weekend..I've never been either, so it should be fun. The only other suspension mod I have is a rear upper strut bar, that I got from that joker shop..Can't hurt though. I'll let you guys know how it is.

.....oh how many damn rear sway bar post are there every freaking day............................why cant people just learn to do a freaking SEARCH........................................sorr y for venting, just tired of it and having a bad day at work.............enjoy
Does the gsr/ls have the same sized front sway as the ITR ?
If not, would that throw off the front end suspension geometry at all ? (IE: need to get a larger front sway bar)

- All Type-Rs
- All GS-Rs
- All '00-'00 Integras
The rest of the Integras have a 22mm front swaybar.
The swaybar combination of 24mm front and 22mm rear typically give a handling balance of neutral (no understeer and no oversteer). So a combination of 22mm front and 22mm rear would typically be "slightly more" neutral.
