my freind has a 1995 si hatch d16z6 it had a gsr turbo setup in it before he bought it and had the stock engine swapped back in when it was sold to him about three days ago, it has a fuel cut switch that to my knowledge is wired back to the fuel tank power (about 5 feet of line no relay to my knowledge) and the fan is hooked up to a switch (dont know how). the only problematic thing that happend i can think of is that 2 n ights ago my we forgot to turn the switch and the temp was pretty bad and now its a straight water mix. temp is now fine. the car barely holds a charge if the fan is turned on or the radio or lights or anything it wont start after only a few seconds of draining. but it can sit all night with the alarm on and start fine. i know that is battery not something to do with ignition or starter. its a smaller battery but i dont remember what type. the car also has a redline of i believe 8 it hasnt been tooken up that high but it has been tooken up a little past 7 on multiple ocasion. i believe its a different ecu the guy said a gsr but i dont know if thats true.
1) happend before the heating problem a surgy idle very tine and about in half second intervals up to mabe 2 and then back down below one like its going to die. only happens at idle and only sometimes no connection that i can see to the heat of the car but one thing i did notice is that when it falls like its going to die the dash lights fade, making me thing alternater or battery, yet when everything (lights stereo ect) are off it makes no difference and the surge is just as random.
2)just tonight earlyer on the car lost alot of power in first gear and then later it began doing the same thing wear it feels very weak weird thing is that once vtec kicks it has the same amount of power as normal. because of the loss of power until vtec it makes vtec more powerful feeling in contrast rather then just a noise change its a noticable change in power. i have no clue on this one.
3) it has a what i think is a jdm cluster and i dont believe its wired right because the check engine light is the gas light i think. how many miles until the gas light apears and also could someone link me to a picture of a jdm cluster or explain one and also a writup for wiring one correctly.

so tomorow im gunna double check to see if its throwing codes the cluster isnt wired correctly for it to show a cel.
im also going to check the fuel filter tps o2 sensors and throttlebody.

the text is there to help people that can help me i like to be as detailed as i can to save questions and make it completley clear.
the car also sat for a while so im thinking maybe **** in the gas tank and its getting to the filter..

i did just take the time to read your novel - to most people on here they wont touch a topic if you write an epic of a question...next - your grammar is horrible, its like one giant run-on sentence and you have a ton of words spelled wrong so its very hard to understand what the hell you are talking about. if you are having electrical problems, that can be a very big problem and not something little.
it sounds like the car has a cluster **** of electrical problems and unnecessary wiring/switches (minus the fuel cutoff switch, if its even wired up right). in my honest opinion id take the car to a good mechanic..try to explain to him/her what exactly is going on and have them fix it. just bite the bullet and drop the car off, especially if you dont know what you're looking for. bring it to a professional.

im sorry about the grammatical errors when i type through things very quickly i usualy end up skipping over alot of things and i am horrible with run ons.
the only things wiring wise that seem a miss to me are that the cluster is not wired in right. thats easy to fix ill depin it tomorow and fix that.
and the fan switch is hooked up to a switch rather then a relay.
i have looked at the harness and it seems to be unhacked otherwise.

its either not flashign a cel or its not woried in i have a feeling its not wired to the cluster but i dont know because it has a jdm cluster swap.
alright so then there is no cel.

theres a killswitch wired and sometimes the car will just die while its driving if he turns off the car flips teh switch back and forth or wiggles it a little ittl turn back on. from what i saw the switch is not soldered and is lacking quality installation seems like that could be some of it.
any other thoughts?
