Default My rhd 1994 Honda Civic Sir k20a build up thread, TONS OF PICS

please DO NOT PM me asking me how do i get a RHD car, where did i get my RHD car, how do i legalize a RHD car, I WILL IGNORE YOU

i'm currently building my RHD 1994 honda civic sir-i

in short, plans for the car are to be a weekend car, but mainly a road race track car

previous setup was a 98 spec jdm itr b18c w/ rcrew header and rcrew 3" exhaust, built transmission with ATS 1, 3, 4, 5 short gears, 4.9 final drive, and quaife LSD and fidanza 7.5lb flywheel

it just wasn't enough and i know i needed to go K, so here i am

old pics of the car

when it first got here from japan

threw my b18c in and drove it home on temporary wheels, f1spec seats, etc.

got some new wheels, spoon sw388's in 15x6.5 +45 and got my j's racing gt type-ii rear spoiler

rcrew exhaust (race muffler)

5zigen front lip

safety21 8pt steel roll cage and a pair of f1spec type-3 seats

more shots of rcrew exhaust (street muffler)

changed the intake to oem eg6 airbox

got a new quick release

changed to itr intake with spoon drop-in filter

got another set of wheels, 17x7 +43 enkei rpf-1

sold the spoonies + 4 lug and got a new wheel/brake setup

jdm ctr 5 lug w/ spoon calipers

got a set of twm 50mm itb's

one day i woke up, and i realized, i need a damn k20, so out comes the b18c

got my new oem honda armrest

now that the motor is out, sold my b18c swap
did a little to clean stuff up and prepare for the k20 swap

looped my power steering

got a new hood, hopefully it clears the RBC

took off the spoon calipers and sold them, i could use that $1000 towards my k20 fund =P

new headlight intake scoop, made from old headlight, hammer, and spray paint

starting to get rid of the extra stuff i dont need

just got a new seat, recaro spg

this is how the car sits now

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12-08-07 - drilled out transmission mount

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12-13-07 - got my race header

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12-22-07 - got a new seat and installed my k-swap adjustable radiator brackets

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12-25-07 - removed the dash to start cleaning up engine bay harness..should i remove the heater core and all while im at it?!

how the car sits now

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
12-31-07just got back from tahoe yesterday and i'm sore as hell haha

but i pulled the driver side engine harness out today and i'm getting ready to unwrap everything and eliminate the wires i don't need anymore

and i also got an unpleasant surprise when i found out the car has been hit before, oh well, what can i do

this is where it was hit

cleaned up the wiring a bit and put my fusebox back into position, now i just have to extend a couple wires for the headlights and i'm done on the passenger side

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1-1-08 happy new years!!

i finished my wire tuck, everything works great

all wires were cut, extended with military crimps, shrinkwrapped and loomed

and finally put on my oem honda access optional door sills

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1-16-08, i've done alot in between but i never took pics and i already forgot, but the motor is in =P

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1-17-08

got some stuff done, put the axles in, still need to do some stuff
-install header
-wire some little stuff
-get new upper radiator hose (this one hits the TPS)
-tune the car
-install dashboard

gunmetal type-r wheels with spoon lug nuts, i know they're the wrong type but i just wanted to see how it would look

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Got some J's racing parts

J's Racing front + rear tow hooks

J's Racing Civic Number Sticker
