How to remove anodized red lip off my rota auto x?
Are the Rotas actually anodized? I would have assumed that they're just painted, since they're Rotas (not bashing, I rock Rotas on track).
Not sure if aircraft paint stripper will remove an anodized coating, but it certainly will remove paint.

</TD></TR></TABLE>i had my tires removed but then never put tires back on cus i sold the wheels without them soon after... if you do not prep the surface and if the process of painting is no good then yes, the paint will chip once tires are put back on... some people say they have touch less mounting but i still have experienced some paint chips w/ that process..

If you just want it shiny, polish it. Aluminum polishes well.
If you actually want chrome, you'll need to find a shop that can do the plating process. It is generally plated in copper, buffed, plated in nickel, then plated in chrome. With chrome wheels, it is actually the nickel that provides the shiny reflective effect you see, the chrome simply makes the nickel look slightly blue.
well i meant just the lip ... as u can see the red is chipping now and its crome where it has... these wheels are only about 3 weeks old ..so that pisses me off but hey what can u do
2) That isn't chrome (for the 2nd time).
3) Of course it chips easily. It is partially transparent paint over a polished surface. Paint doesn't stick to polished metal very well. My 5Zigen "hyper black" wheels suffer from the same issue. Strip it off, then either leave it polished or repaint.
