Default oversized vavles

what are some of he pros and cons of oversized +5mm vavles, are they really worth it of should i just stay with stock vavles?

whoa! 5mm? thats a lot. you better be running a small cam. with forced induction it is helpful put with all motor its more ideal (imo) to run a larger cam and more compression. i would no oversize the valves. if you did maybe just stick to the intake side. on the h22's its a good thing to open up the intake side by .5mm.

obviously he meant .5, and i woudl stay with stock. unless you are having the head ported to match/take advantage of a larger valve it is a bad thing to do.

You would know more on this than I would CC but normally putting a bigger cap over the same hole does not give any benefit, just a larger blockage for the air to flow around.

that's basically what i have heard as well. i believe, more specifically,it was something along the lines of "unless you're running an extremely ported head with a ton of flow / or you're planning on going forced induction, just stick with stock sized valves." for the same reason stated above^

could have been misinformed though.

Depends on the size of the original "hole" to begin with and if the head was under/over valved from the factory.
