My friends 94 integra is getting a knock coming from the driver front wheel. It occurs mostly when turning and slow acceleration. Under heavier acceleration it does not happen as much. I was thinking an axle. It almost feels like it is mis-firing the way it studders sometimes but we replaced spark plugs and spark plug wires which make the car run a bit smoother but made it more obvious that it is not and spark problem. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks

 

mine did that too, till one day my ball joint took a ****. turn the wheel the whole way to one side, and look at them, if you can see its torn up, or damaged, or metal shavings, replace it.

 

hmmm knocking jack up the car check the axels and the ball joint. tie rods easy way to do it.... jack it up pull up and down, side to side on the "axels" they move alot replace them.... now the tie rods and ball joint are easy to check... put one hand at 12 oclock and one at 6 oclock quickly push and pull if moves bad ball joint... now ties rod same thing at 9 and 3 oclock..... hit me back

 

Sounds like a bad upper ball joint. Just jack up the car and take a look at it. Same thing happend to my LS about a year ago

everything looked pretty good but the axles look pretty shot so were in the process of replacing them and we'll see how that does. THanks again for the input.
