is there a roll cage/bar that lets you have passengers in the back?
a few weeks ago i seen an eg on the side of the road. the roof was so smashed in and almost split in two i dont see how anyone could have survived. and it kinda freaked me out about having one. and the only reason i never wanted a roll cage is cuz you cant have passengers in the back. i love being able to take me and my friends places so i wouldnt give that up.
i was wondering if theres any roll cage or roll bar like in convertibles and stuff how it just goes inbetween the passenger and driver seats for an eg that will let you have passengers in the back?
thanks for any info
i dont want it for performance reasons to tighten up my chassis but for safety.

How often does a car get flipped? Known anyone personally that's had it happen? Your reasons for wanting one should also push you to wear a helmet 24hrs a day, cause people get head injuries.
So what do you do when you wreck and your friends bash their heads on the metal roll bars?
Think man, a roll cage is for HELMET applications.
If i ever put a roll cage in a daily driver, i would have to wear a helmet.

im talking about a roll bar like just 1 that goes from like the center pillars. between the front and back seats. like some convertables have where its goes along the side inside and along the roof not like a actual full roll cage.
nvm
u guys dont understand
obviously there isnt.

I run the Autopower 4 point for that very reason. With big trucks and SUVs being so popular, it puts the rest of us at risk. A roll cage evens it up for us.
I almost never have any rear passengers and I try to avoid it if I can (I have another car). But I have BSCI FIA approved roll bar padding for the times the rare times when I have rear passengers. I always insist that everyone wears seat belts adjusted properly.
I can't see how you would hit the upper bar in an accident, eventhough a human body stretches quite a bit in a wreck.

dont listen to this fucktard. i dont see think hittin your head on the roof of your car with basicaly no padding vs hittin it on a metal bar(which they wrap in foam all the time) is any diff.

The roof of the car is thin sheet metal. It serves more as keeping the rain out than keeping a tree or something more solid than ground coming into the car.
Hitting your head on the roof is unlikely unless the roof comes to you. In the event that happens, you're not worried about your head. You're worried about your neck. And then you're only worried for about 0.00000000000001 seconds. Then your neck snaps and you don't care about much anymore.

If you're properly in your seatbelt you have little to no chance of hitting the roof in a non-flip accident.
With a rollcage you could smash your head onto the bar in a small accident and have a concussion.
THERE'S A BLOODY REASON WHY RACE CARS HAVE ROLLCAGES AND REQUIRE HELMETS!!!
Jesus.

dude, if your that worried about rolling over, than just dont drive. and even then, dont go out in public. im not trying to be a dick like some people here. you can flip in any car and the roof will smash just the same. depends on the actual accident. I bet in some cases that same car has flipped and the roof was fine. Just depends on the accident. Christ, a crown vic could role and the roof could smash in like you said. It doesn't matter. Not to mention, all the other things that COULD happen that would be worse than if a roof caved in... like how about in NY. there is a billboard saying that there are 2110 bridges in NY that are structurally difficient. Am I going to stop going over bridges? no. The point is, if you worry abouit one thing, there will always be something else. the cost wouldn't be worth it, unless your planning on rolling your car anytime soon.
WOW. u act like im that scared about driving. i was just wondering if there was a roll bar so i could see if it was inexpensive so itd be a cheaper way to ensure safety INCASE. im not scared of flipping over.
i doubt i will
ur acting like im scared to sit in my car cuz im scared of rolling my car.
u guys get the wrong impressions

Theres nothing wrong with getting something that could possibly save your life in a freak accident, you never pull out of your driveway thinking "oh, im going to get in a very bad accident today". What is your safety worth, get a cage man no big deal who cares what everyone else thinks.
just get a roll cage with no harness bar or cut it out. It wont be as strong but it'll still be a roll cage. this is the most retarded come backs i've ever seen. If he wants one he wants one. Who gives a *****. everyomes different. he's asking a legit question. You dont need a helmet with a roll cage if your just driving it around daily. It's a little excessive but whatever. Just if you do get one get harnesses
i would never put a rear passenger in a car with a roll bar especially if there was a harness bar or even a cross bar( \ ). cusco and safty 21(same company in japan) is the only brand that comes to mind that offers a roll bar without these two bars i mentioned. i do not recommend you daily driving with a full cage in the car. doesnt matter how much padding you have on the bars, in the event of a bad accident.. those pads are only good for soaking up blood!
