Default Hooking up Ipod with stock stereo

Can anyone recommend an adapter for a 97 civic with a stock radio? I have a cd changer and I want to get rid of the cd changer and put a adapter for an ipod. I don't want to get a new head unit since I don't want to give thieves a radio. thanks

Any recommendations/experiences? Thanks for the help but as you can see there a hundreds of brands and types to choose from. I'm looking for a mid range quality/price adapter that's easy to diy.

I install the PA11-HON in a 1996 Honda civic, almost the same radio it plugs in to the cd changer port and the radio believes the ipod is a cd changer
you have the option to make 5 or 6 play list and you will use the 1 to 6 buttons to enter the ipod play list or you can do 5 and number 6 will be aux input for satellite radio or any other audio source

this is the Honda civic interface

all options that uses the stock stereo sucks ***..

its gunna have to go through FM which means quality is NOT going to be good..

go get an aftermarket radio and use the ipod ready feature..

buy a cheap *** sony unit...
they are flat black and keep it looking somewhat stock

peripheral makes ipod adapters for stock radios but first i dont know if they have any for your year civic and second they actually sometimes have problems with those adapters as to where they dont work after hookin them up....i say get a fm modulator that taps straight into your antenna line and have it FM transmitted. they also have this system called Harmen Kardon and you can get that with the FM modulator..........

I have used an adapter buy Blitz, it plugs into the din spot where your changer plugs in, and gives you an auxiliary input, works well & it was only like $40

These FM modulators drain your iPod battery very quick if it is not hooked into a power source.

Does anyone know how the sound quality with this unit is? (http://www.oemautosound.com/pc....aspx) It plugs into the cd changer port and isnt the best buy unit that splices into the factory wires...
