Default I need help on lowering springs

ok i got a 96 ek coupe which is all stock, just bought it

I need to know what i should buy to lower the car not too low just for that sporty look, and what other things i got to adjust like camber, toe, alignment ext.

some other questions=> are the ebay coilovers, or springs any good, cost only 50 bucks?

are my tires going to wear out faster?

Am i gonna have to sacrifice comfort of my ride, bumpy or what not?

performance, any negatives or advantage?

And any advice on, should i just cut the stock spings with a jigsaw or something or will that not be a good idea has anyone done this bfore

any help would be appreciated thx

Get lowering springs (good quality lowering springs), and have an alignment shop bring your toe settings to 0.

The ebay coilovers are garbage, and you pay a lot for shipping usually.

Your tires will wear out more quickly if you don't get an alignment done and bring your toe to 0 after lowering the car.

You will sacrifice ride comfort for performance, how much depends on what the spring rate of your new springs are.

There are handling benefits from lowering the car, and there are negatives if you lower it too much.

You should not cut the stock springs. People have done it before for various reasons, and some will try and justify it, but as far as most people are concerned, it is not a viable performance modification.

That should be a start. Now before you post "Thanks, anyone else have any opinions?", know that tons and tons of people have their opinions, and they have been posted on this forum already. You use the "search" function to find those opinions. If you search you'll find out what some good quality lowering springs are, why you need to adjust toe and why I didn't mention adjusting camber or caster, what spring rates are and how they affect ride quality, what sort of benefits you get from lowering a car and why lowering the car too much might actually hurt performance, and why cutting stock springs is just plain stupid.

Do not cut your springs.

eBay stuff is crap, stay away. I heard they are very bouncy.

If you don't want it too low, I suggest getting the Eibach Pro-Kit or the Tein S-Techs, they lower the car but still leave some gap.
