I have a 2007 Element and was wondering if anyone knows if the earlier mesh grille will fit. Im pretty sure it will just wondering if anyone has done it.

 

Most people with E's do the home depot mod.

The answer to your question is yes, it will fit. I have a 2006 Element and I went from the mesh grill you speak of to the grill (cross bars) that came on yours. Its an easy change out, using the same screws. The only problem you may have is with the push washers that secure the "H". I've found that they are very thin and I guess by design, for one time use only but yes, you can do this mod. I've even thought about changing back but I sold my old mesh grill to another owner.
