Let's keep hold of reality here. I have a hard time imagining extra markup on a Fit. Not saying it wont be a great car, I am just not sure it can command the extra markup of the FG2.

I have ahold of reality. =P I have alot of experience in the automotive retail industry, and any time you're showing interest in something, they will try and rake every penny possible out of you. 
I'm reluctant to preorder and get stuck paying MSRP.

They are saying $13,000-$13,500 for the Base and $14,800-$15,500 for the Sport. I think that is BS since they are exactly the same car other than the stereo, fog lights, color match under body, and cruise control.

They both share the same transmissions. The Sports Auto is a 5 speed automatic transmission though.
I'm paying for the Sport to get the Taffeta White exterior and the black interior. But if it is a major difference in price. I will be getting the Vivid Blue Pearl or the Storm Silver Metallic. Just because they have the black interior in the base models. If I do go with the base model I will probablly go with the Vivid Blue Pearl though...

that sucks, but if your goin to swap in a k20a it wont matter, o well, good for you, i personally love the fit, i always wondered when they were going to bring it here, and now they finally have.

i went to the dealer just to see if they could give me anymore information than I already know (which they couldnt) and the guy said if i want it I should get the ball rolling now since there is already half a dozen people with orders placed. I told him once he figures out a price to call me.

I'm first on the list at Pacific Honda in San Diego :D I don't know what colors they're getting though but I'm not too picky. Gonna hit up Loi @ sportcar and order some spoon goodies, wheels and suspension.

i just put a deposit on my red 5 spd manual sport- but noticed when i got home that the 4dr Si sedan is releasing in the fall not sure if i should move my deposit over to it
